LONDON, January 24, 2010 - Around 100 people attended an event in central London to pick the winner of a £3,000 prize draw organised by the Green Street Jewellers' Association (GSJA).
 
The adjudication took place with the support of Clydesdale Bank at a cocktail and canapes event on January 18.
 
It was the first time that a prize draw had been offered by a group of retail jewellers in Britain, said Vikram Santilal, Vice Chairman of the GSJA .
 
"For the jewellers on Green Street , this was a fantastic opportunity to say thank you to our clients, giving them a chance to win a nice pick-me-up during the festive season," Santilal said in an address to the specially invited guests.
 
The promotion ran from November 20 until New Year’s Eve.
