LONDON, January 30, 2009 - Lev Leviev Diamonds (LLD Diamonds) was again Israel's largest exporter of polished diamonds in 2008, despite a 20 percent fall in the companys exports, Rapaport News reported, quoting Israel's Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labor.
LLD Diamonds exported $417 million worth of polished diamonds in 2008, down from $522 million in 2007.
Israel's Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labor has published its list of Israel's top 25 diamond exporters, which exported a combined $2.567 billion of polished stones during 2008, Rapaport News reported. The top 25 companies on the 2007 list exported $3.16 billion worth of goods.
The list did not include 17 companies that requested that their figures not be published, which had total net exports of $797 million.
